How do youth leaders cope with the sociopolitical structural changes they face in their daily lives? How do youth leaders continue to mobilize in times of uncertainty? What drives their passion and what encourages them to flourish?
This ethnographic film captures how national youth leaders, through the Jane Goodall Institute, affect community change and remain inspire despite sociopolitical unpredictability.
*This film is currently in development. Photovoice and interviews are being facilitated with the national youth leaders. Youth leaders will also be documented during the yearly retreat.

Franco, the pharmacist, plays music that stretches down the main road of Huanchaco. His sound welcomes people seeking medicine, care, and advice. Sounds of the Coast is a short film focused on how sound - created from music, conversations, classes, and dancing - restructures health, subjectivity, and togetherness.
